Every member of the staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we felt special on our honeymoon. The expertly prepared Crepe Suzette, flambéed tableside by our waiter, was a highlight of our dining experience.

Just a reliable pick for a quick stop in Torquay with good price value. The staff were really friendly and helpful, which made our stay better. Consider bringing earplugs for a more comfortable night’s sleep given the noise.

We had an absolutely amazing experience during our stay! The evening meals were truly exceptional, with every dish leaving us in awe. Plus, the old-fashioned charm of the decor was a delightful touch, making it feel like a step back in time. Despite our room being a bit on the small side and quite warm, the warm ambiance and overall hospitality made us feel so welcome that we'd definitely return.

Target audience charming experience
The waiters were in tails—a throwback, like from a different era, very cool and a bit bizarre. And the breakfast? They had this piano playing in the background. made for a pleasant morning vibe that I didn't expect.
It wasn’t cheap, but the experience was still acceptable.

missingWrote a review on 01 Junhistorical architecturesea viewdated decor
The building features charming historical architecture, adding character that you won't find in modern counterparts. The sea view from many rooms offers a pleasant backdrop that enhances the overall experience of staying here.
Everything feels stuck in a time warp. the decor is a mix of faded patterns from the 1930s to the '80s without any cohesive theme. The pillows are thin and uncomfortable, the old sash windows let in quite a bit of noise from the outside, and the food doesn’t match the expectations set by the hotel’s promotional materials. Bathrooms lack modern amenities, and the aging infrastructure, including vintage lifts, might make some visitors uncomfortable, particularly the persistent damp smell that lingers in the common areas.

A Cozy Blast from the Past
Had a lovely coffee at the hotel after a walk. The vibe was super chill with oldies playing in the background. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy some biscuits. Service was awesome, and the holiday decorations were a sweet touch. Only downer was that it got a bit busy, so service slowed down a pinch at times.
